a4 has a lot of talented and dedicated employees. To further get to know our staff, we are asking them some questions about their life in and out of work. This is “a4 Asks.”

Today we speak with Jordan Lieberman, General Manager of Political & Public Affairs. He oversees the entire political market at a4. He is based in Washington, D.C. Here he discusses his favorite things about his role and reveals what he does in his spare time:

Question: How long have you worked for a4?

Answer: a4 acquired Audience Partners a couple years ago. Previously, I had been with Audience Partners since the early days of voter targeted digital advertising, 2010.

Question: What is your favorite thing about your job?

Answer: a4 is entrepreneurial and nimble like the small business Audience Partners was, but has massive resources and support systems behind it. Honestly, I didn’t anticipate this level of help.

Question: Who is a celebrity that you admire and why?

Answer: Springsteen. Because New Jersey.

Question: What are your hobbies?

Answer: Lately it’s been trying to decode mid-19th century editions of the Minsk census so I can fill out my family tree. But in the warmer months, it’s gardening.

Question: Why do you think effective advertising is so important?

Answer: Waste in advertising used to be something that just happens. Now it’s just stupid. We’re here to make sure nobody wastes their limited ad budget.
